Baseball and Softball Fielding Clinic
Fielding is a crucial skill in baseball and softball, requiring physical and mental abilities like hand-eye coordination, speed, agility, and decision-making. Come learn how to catch the ball in various positions, pick it up quickly, and proper throwing technique. Incorporate new fielding drills into your regular practice routines to improve reaction time, footwork, and performance under pressure. Baseball and Softball are sports that can be played year around. For that, we don’t really have an “off-season” time for training.
The Academy will be hosting training sessions twice a week. Training will consist of mobility, flexibility, agility, strength, plyometrics, conditioning, quickness, and more.
To perform at a higher level everything matters. Taking care of your body has to be a priority. The game can be very mentally and physically taxing and being physically unfit shouldn’t be an option, that’s one thing we have some control over.

Rapsodo Evaluation Experience (Trial)
Rapsodo is high-level technology that provides incredible analytics and data points that provide the pitcher or hitter instant feedback on all aspects of their game profile whether it be pitching or hitting. Today, college recruiters are using this information to help determine players they want to recruit. In many cases, colleges will require players to send this data along with a video so they can review the metrics.
Rapsodo baseball and softball hitting use camera and radar technology that measures and analyzes all the possible data points of a batted ball in flight, giving you the ability to perfect your swing rep by rep. February 20th from 10:30 am- 8:00 pm, Ballers Academy is opening 15-minute evaluation time blocks for you to experience this capturing technology with our Certified Rapsodo Specialist.
Using a demo profile, you can take swings off the tee and get instant feedback on your stats. The videos and stats will not be saved on the Ballers database; you are welcome to record the screen on your phone to take the stats with you.

Baseball Catcher Clinic
Ballers Academy Baseball Catcher Clinic with Josh Thompson.
Josh Thompson played at Mercer as a Pitcher/Catcher but transitioned to catching only after his freshman year. Josh was named All-Conference his junior year as well as All-Tournament Team. He was the Pre-Season Player of the Year for the ASUN conference during his senior season. He was awarded multiple Player of the week awards by the ASUN Conference in both his Junior and Senior seasons. While at Mercer he was the 2 Time Iron Bear award winner as well as the Male Athlete of the Year for the University his senior year. After a great college career, Josh was selected by Florida Marlins in the 2007 MLB Draft.
